The system
Main specifications
The system is an interface between the deck and the truck. It is compatible with all the trucks with the 4 New School holes (TKP trucks, RKP, YOW surfskate trucks, Carver, Smoothstar, Slide…). It needs 8 new holes in the deck, that can be drilled yourself using a template or by purchasing a deck with pre-drilled holes.
5mm of thickness
The system raises the truck by 5mm (approximately 1/5 inch), which is equivalent to a Medium shock pad. Some skaters need 1 session to get used to it, while others feel no difference at all. Thanks to this minimal thickness, you can use your existing trucks —no need to buy LOW trucks.
System components
The system consists of three complementary parts. The truck plate (onto which the truck is fastened) is mounted onto the deck plate and is automatically locked with a spring-loaded latch.
The reinforced nuts keep the system securely attached to the board. They are made of stainless steel for maximum durability and are easily replaceable if they wear out.
Designed for skateboarding
The design has been revised numerous times to enhance overall durability. The most stressed parts are made of stainless steel to ensure the longest possible lifespan. The system withstands all the craziest tricks (crooked, blunt, big gap…) and slides.
Eco-design
The system is designed to last as long as possible and be easily repairable if worn out. It fits all trucks with the New School 4-hole pattern, allowing everyone to use it with their current setup.
The design has been simplified to make manufacturing as eco-friendly as possible (the energy required to shape each part represents the most significant environmental impact, much more than transportation, for example).
The materials used are recyclable and offer the best weight-to-strength ratio. The system is light enough to be unnoticeable and can withstand all tricks.
4 years of development
The TBS is the result of 4 years of development aimed at creating a quick-release truck system that requires no tools and adds minimal thickness under the truck.
With this system, you can switch from a setup with soft wheels for cruising to hard wheels for skating. You can also completely change the type of truck, such as switching from traditional trucks to surfskate trucks, for example.
